NINTH GENERATION 

NINTH GENERATION TIMELINE A timeline for the Ninth Generation Application is attached. The application can be found at www.tea.state.tx.us/ charter/rfa.htm. Please note that one board member is required to attend one application workshop in December or January. The IRS 501 (c) 3 designation letter must be submitted with the application by March 27, 2003. For questions call the Charter School Division at 512-463-9575.

Application Workshop (One board member is required to attend one workshop)

  • Friday, December 13, 2002 - 9:00 - 1:00 p.m.
  • Monday, January 6, 2003 - 9:00 - 1:00 p.m.
  • Monday, January 13, 2003 - 9:00 - 1:00 p.m.

Deadline due to TEA

  • March 27, 2003 - 5:00 p.m. Central time

Interview with SBOE (Governing board president & CEO required)

  • Early September 2003 (tentative)

Approved

  • September 2003 SBOE meeting (tentative)

Charter becomes operational

  • July/August/September 2004
