  • T· 21 HOURS LEFT TO CLAIM IDEA B FUNDS
The following charter schools still have 2000-2001 IDEA-B Federal Funds available through the WEB SAS automated system. The purpose of these funds is to support the provision of special education and related services to students with disabilities being served under current evaluations and individualized education programs (IEPs). In addition, the Superintendent/CEO/Director will need to fax a letter of request to 512-463-9560 AND mail the letter of request with an original signature to the attention of Ms. Laura Taylor, Division of Special Education, Texas Education Agency, 1701 North Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78701-1494. The letter should include a justification for submission of the application/ amendment after the May 15, 2001, deadline. Consideration for processing of the application/amendment will be given on a case-by-case basis. The stamp-in date of the application or amendment will reflect the date the letter of request is received in the Division of Special Education, Texas Education Agency. NOTE: The deadline for receipt of both the faxed letter of request with the original signature in the Division of Special Education and the application/amendment certified to "L" status on the WEB SAS system is 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2001. The 2000-2001 IDEA-B Formula, Preschool, and Capacity Building grants end on June 30, 2001.
