ACADEMIC / ACCOUNTABILITY ACADEMIES SUMMER 2001 will be hosted by the Resource Center in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston for all Texas charters. Topics will include Reading, Math, Classroom Management, and a workshop for charter school directors. See attached for times, dates, and registration form. Please RSVP to the Resource Center at 210-348-7890 or fax the attached registration form to 210-348-7899 as soon as possible. For all June workshops RSVP by Tuesday, June 5th and for all July workshops RSVP by Tuesday, July 10th. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided each day. The workshops and meals are free of charge.

GRANT APPLICATION / AMENDMENT DEADLINE The application / amendment deadline for IDEA-B Formula, IDEA-B Capacity Building, and IDEA-B Preschool federal funds is Tuesday, May 15, 2001. The WEB SAS system for applications and amendments can be accessed through the web address: www.seguin.tea.state.tx.us/websas. If your new charter submitted a Special Child Count on October 1, 2000 or a Significant Expansion Act Special Child Count on November 1, 2000, then you may have funds in the WEB SAS system. Funds not applied for by May 15, 2001 will not be available after that date. For more information on your charter's application/amendment status, please contact the Special Education Director at your Regional Education Service Center (ESC).
