NATIONAL CHARTER SCHOOLS WEEK CELEBRATIONS
  • Rapoport Academy will be holding an Open House April 30th - May 4th, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., for anyone who would like to visit their campus. The invitation states, "Come see for yourself what a difference Choice in Education can make!" For further information, phone Nancy Grayson at 254-799-4191.

  • Pineywoods Community Academy will hold a City-Wide Community Meeting on Thursday, May 3rd. Grace Shore, Chair, State Board of Education, will be the keynote speaker. She will speak on "Charter Schools: Present and Future." Call 936-634-5515 for more information.

  • Northwest Preparatory Academy will sponsor a Community Forum on Education and also offer a Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, April 28th from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at their campus. For more information call Erik Singleton at 713-688-3600.
  • CHARTER SCHOOL ORIENTATIONS The TEA Charter Schools Division Office will conduct charter school orientation sessions on May 3 & 4 and June 7 & 8. An agenda is attached for the May sessions. Charter schools opening this fall are strongly encouraged to attend one of the sessions. Both programs are also open to existing schools. Please contact Kirsten Christophersen at the Charter Schools Division at (512) 463-9575 to register. There is no charge.
