ACE E-MAIL
Regrettably, the computer of a recipient on the e-mail distribution list of the Association of Charter Educators (ACE) was infected with a virus that caused disruption to several schools last week. Evidently, the virus operates by attaching itself to e-mail received by the infected computer and then transmitting an infected duplicate to other recipients. Those who opened the infected duplicate experienced difficulties with their hard drives. Please know that the virus did not originate with ACE, but rather was transmitted by one of the recipients of the ACE e-mail. As always, it is important to ensure that your computer is protected by an up-to-date anti-virus shield.
THE COMMISSIONER'S RULES FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION
are available online at www.tea.state.tx.us/special.ed/rules. Maximum and supplemental entitlements are available on the web for charters who applied for 2000-2001 IDEA B Formula, IDEA B Capacity Building, and IDEA B Preschool. The WEBSAS address is www.seguin.tea.state.tx.us/websas. If you need further technical assistance, please contact your regional Education Service Center's Special Education Director.
