TEA UPDATES
  • The federal sub-grant application for Generations 3-6 will be available mid-December while most charter schools will be on Christmas break. Please check your mail during the holidays as the due date for applications is Thursday, February 1, 2001. Please contact Esther Murguia at TEA at 512-463-9575 if you have any questions.
  • For charter schools that applied for 2000-2001 Federal Special Education Funds and completed Final Expenditure Reports for 1999-2000, roll forward fund amounts can be viewed on the WEBSAS system. Remember to search for your county-district number first, then click on VIEW ENTITLEMENTS/ROLL.
    • SAN MARCOS PREP CHARTER will host a Public Forum on charter schools, "Charter Schools: Changing the Face of Education in Texas" in San Marcos on Tuesday, December 12, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. The general public is invited to attend and topics discussed will be the future trends of public education and charter schools in Texas.
