TEA UPDATES
       DATA REQUEST FORM DEADLINE Wednesday, November 1, 2000, is the deadline for charter schools to submit the Data Request Form for Federal Funding to the TEA Division of Student Support Programs. See attached list of schools that have not turned in their report. Call Jose Garcia at 512-463-9374 for more information.

CHARTER SCHOOL DIRECTOR SURVEY More than thirty charter schools have not returned the Charter School Director Survey that is part of the official Annual Evaluation conducted by a research team appointed by the State Board of Education. Please fill out the attached survey and fax to 817-272-5008. For more information call Theresa Daniel at 817-272-3071.

CONGRATULATIONS to Chris Barbic, founder of YES College Prep, for being designated one of the top nine Best Young Community Leaders by a national youth leadership organization. A $10,000 grant will accompany the award.

You must submit the Data Request Form in order to determine eligibility for federal funding for programs administered by the Division of Student Support Programs.
