ONE DAY WORKSHOP There will be a one-day workshop for charter schools on Monday, July 26th from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in Room 1-104 of the TEA (Travis) Building in Austin. Schools opening for the first time this fall are required to attend. Very important information will be presented. See attached memo.
PORTAL PEIMS TRAINING Training workshops for the PEIMS software have been scheduled for North, South, and Central Texas. Please see the attached workshop agenda and attend the workshop that is in your area.
PEIMS PORTAL CONTRACT If you have not already done so, please fill out the enclosed PEIMS Portal Contract and fax to the Resource Center at 210-348-7899. In order to participate in the PEIMS Workshops, the Resource Center needs to have a signed copy of the contract in their office.
Dora Cortez, from TEA Textbook Division, has confirmed that charter schools will be eligible to receive the newly approved textbooks when they are approved in 2000, regardless of the length of time the old textbooks have been used by the school.
SUMMER WORKSHOPS Please find attached our CSRCT Summer Workshop schedule. These workshops will be led by Jimmie Driver and Barbara Graham, Curriculum Consultants to the Resource Center. To attend these free workshops, you must RSVP to the Resource Center at 210-348-7890.
TEACHER RETIREMENT SYSTEM TRAINING Bob Hoffman will be doing refresher training for all charter schools at TRS, 1000 Red River Street in Austin on:
- Tuesday, July 27 9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 28 1:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.
- Friday, July 30 9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
