CONGRATULATIONS
  • YES College Prep Charter reported their TAAS scores: 98% of their 6th graders passed Reading and 98% passed Math; 91% of their 7th graders passed Reading and 96% passed Math; 91% of their 8th graders passed Reading, 96% passed Math, 94% passed Writing, and 98%passed Science; and 95% of their 10th graders passed Reading, 100% passed Math, and 100% passed Writing. Congratulations to Chris Barbic.

  • University of Houston Charter had eleven 3rd graders take the TAAS: 82% passed Math and 100% passed Reading. Congratulations to Carolyn Black.

  • KIPP Academy reported that 96% of their 8th and 9th graders passed the End of Course high school Algebra and Biology TAAS tests. Congratulations to Mike Feinberg.

  • Seashore Learning Center Charter TAAS scores are as follows: 100% of their 3rd graders passed Reading and 90% passed Math; 90% of their 4th graders passed Reading, 81% passed Math, and 86% passed Writing; 91% of their 5th graders passed Reading and 86% passed Math; 100% of their 6th graders passed Reading and 100% passed Math; and 100% of their 7th graders passed Reading and 100% passed Math. Congratulations to Melissa Salazar and Annette Guerra.

  • Radiance Academy of Learning Charter reported these TAAS results: three of their 8th graders received Academic Recognition in Science; one 3rd grader and one 4th grader received Academic Recognition in Reading. Congratulations to Cheryl Washington.

  • Encino Charter TAAS scores: 83.4% of their 3rd graders passed Reading and 100% passed Math; 90% of their 4th graders passed Reading, 100% passed Writing, and 80% passed Math; 85.8% of their 5th graders passed Reading and 85.8% passed Math; 71.6% of their 6th graders passed Reading and 85.8% passed Math; and 83.4% of their 7th graders passed Reading and 66.7% passed Math. Congratulations to Robert Gonzalez.

  • American Institute for Learning Charter was named a National Service-Learning Leader School through a new presidential initiative that recognizes schools for their excellence in service-learning. They will receive their award at a congressional reception in Washington, D.C. next month. Congratulations to Rebecca Benz.

The Resource Center has contracted with Jimmie Driver to develop a Curriculum Alignment Timeline notebook and CD that we will mail to you at no charge later this month.
