CONGRATULATIONS
  • The School of Excellence in Education reported their Engineering Club entered an environmental issues contest and won second, third, and fourth place. They competed with seventeen other public middle schools.
  • Girls and Boys Prep won first place in the Jazz Combo division at the Texas Southern University Jazz Festival. They also received a trophy at the Six Flags AstroWorld Music Showcase competition.

NISSAN SCHOLARSHIPS The following students recently received Nissan Scholarships during ceremonies at the Capitol: Rashaad Abdur-Rahman, Girls and Boys Prep; Lauren Bailey, Renaissance; Joshua Choe, Renaissance; Travis Croft, Ed White Charter; LaKesha Demmings, Girls and Boys Prep; Claudia Garza, George I. Sanchez Charter; George Gonzalez, Technology Education Charter; Jessica Kemp, Bright Ideas; Brenda Mottu, George I. Sanchez Charter; Elsa Mungia, George I. Sanchez Charter; Karen Perez, Southwest Prep; Kristin Pipes, West Houston Charter; Bang Seo, Renaissance; Sandy Song, Renaissance.

The Resource Center has contracted with Jimmie Driver to develop a Curriculum Alignment Timeline that we will mail to you at no charge later this month.
