TEXAS CHARTER SCHOOL CONFERENCE Today, March 5th, is the last day that the Adam's Mark on the Riverwalk is reserving rooms for us for the conference. Please make your reservation today by calling 800-444-2326 or 210-354-2800. If you are driving into San Antonio, the Adam's Mark on the Riverwalk has a parking garage located at the corner of Soledad and Martin Street -- $8.00 per day. See information. If you are flying in, it is cost effective to take a taxi to the hotel, which is only about five miles south of the airport. FYI -- last year we had to turn away 40 people because we maxed-out the hotel ballroom. If you have called the 800-444-ADAM number to make room reservations and found there are no longer rooms available, try calling the local number, 210-354-2800, there are a few rooms still available.

NEW PEIMS PORTAL SOFTWARE Many of your requests have been incorporated into the updated software. Thanks for your suggestions. Look for our PEIMS consultants to install your upgrade soon at your school.
SPRING DEMOGRAPHICS SURVEY The Spring Demographics Survey and Evaluator Survey will be sent our early next week via your FAX. Please see the attachment from Rachel Feit for more information. The deadline date for the return of the surveys is March 19th!
E-RATE DEADLINE The deadline to submit your technology plan to your local ESC for review is April 1, 1999 if you are applying for E-Rate.
AUTHORIZATION CODES Please see the attached memo from Deborah Havens concerning the update of addresses, phone numbers and fax numbers for your school. The TEA Office of Operations attempted to mail out authorization codes and many of their letters were returned.
