Ed-Flex Waiver Application
2006-2007 Individual Ed - Flex Programmatic Waiver Application
Local education agencies (LEAs) have an opportunity to request waivers of certain federal laws and regulations governing the following No Child Left Behind Act programs in exchange for increased accountability:
- Title I, Part A (other than sections 1111 and 1116) (Improving the Academic Achievement of Disadvantaged Children)
- Title I, Part B, Subpart 3 (Even Start Family Literacy Programs)
- Title I, Part C (Education of Migratory Children)
- Title I, Part D (Prevention and Intervention Programs for Children and Youth Who Are Neglected, Delinquent, or At-Risk)
- Title I, Part F (Comprehensive School Reform)
- Title II, Part A, Subparts 2 and 3 (Teacher and Principal Training and Recruiting)
- Title II, Part D, Subpart 1 (Enhancing Education through Technology)
- Title III, Part B, Subpart 4 (Emergency Immigrant Education, if this program is funded)
- Title IV, Part A, Subpart 1 (Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities)
- Title V, Part A (Innovative Programs)
- The Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act

The deadline for requesting this waiver is August 15, 2006 for an October 1, 2006 start date.
