Primary Role and Purpose:

     Provide support to students and teachers on computers and educational software at the charter

     computer lab with general supervision.

 

Qualifications:

 

     Education:

            List XYZ Charter School requirements

 

     Skills:

  • Working knowledge of basic computer operations and skills.
  • Capable of operating personal computer and educational software.
  • Capable of working with students and teachers effectively.
  • Effective communication skills.

 

     Experience:

            List XYZ Charter School requirements

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

     Instructional Support

  • Provide support to teachers and students in use of computers, printers and instructional software.
  • Collaborate with teachers to place students at appropriate educational software level.
  • Record data and manage hardcopy and computerized files on students’ achievement and use of educational programs.
  • Keep computer lab in an orderly manner including bulletin boards and displays.

 

Technical Support

  • Perform ongoing computer backups.
  • Follow written instructions to load a variety of computer programs.
  • Recognize computer equipment problems and arrange for maintenance and repairs.

 

Student Management

  • Ensure responsible behavior in the computer lab.
  • Assist in overseeing students during arrival and dismissal from school.

Other

  • Aid in clerical duties of office and workroom when necessary.
  • Ensure confidentiality.
  • Contribute in staff development, faculty meetings and special events as needed.
